The security term “zero trust” may sound trendy, but at its core it’s about protecting access and information. While a full zero trust architecture might not be practical for every business, local cyber experts say the concept offers valuable lessons that organizations of all sizes can put into practice.
“Zero trust means no automatic trust, ever,” said Jeffery Travis, the director and vCISO/vCIO practice leader at FoxPointe Solutions, a Division of the Bonadio Group. “Every request is verified in context: who’s making it, from what device, under what conditions, and for what data or application. Access is granted only to the minimum necessary resources.”
